Young Package is an international annual package design competition intended for young designers, under 30. This year, for its latest edition, 700 young professionals and students have submitted their projects. The exhibition Package Unlimited presents some of the best entries for the 2016, as selected by a jury with the following members: Zdenka Pechkova (IKEA), Lukas Brza (LEGO), Michal Marko, and Michal Safar (winners of the competition’s former editions), and Jan Cincera (a package designer). The task assigned to the competitors was to create a package design capable of performing different functions.

The Young Package competition dates from 1996 and has earned an international reputation, which places it among the top young designer competitions in the world. The focus of the competition is the design of paper-made packages.

The initiative’s creator is the Czech branch of the international company Model Obay – a leading manufacturer of packaging and a big supporter of young creative talent. From 2009 to the present, the competition has been organized by CZECHDESIGN.CZ
