Ceramic House Erebus

The Ceramic House is the social shelter of a couple of artists; Diana Simeonova and Radoslav Rayanovski. It is a creative space where invention relies on minimum technical means and primitive processes in ceramics making to fulfil private orders, which are impossible in mass production. The materials are basic; clay + glaze, the make – exclusively by hand, the result is radically personalised objects.

The design workshop provides an atavistic environment for communication to the individual with the earth (the clay), and an opportunity to play the role of the creator. Led by their inner sense of wholeness, symmetry, density, balance, and inevitably gravitation, the participants will experiment with the qualities of the material using only their hands.

The created intuitive objects will be dried and fired in The House, their inventors can get them after a week, when it will be possible to glaze them with their own hands.
