Everyday Objects

POP-UP CONCEPT STORE

Everyday objects is a conceptual pop-up store created for the eighth edition of ONE DESIGN WEEK. It offers a refined selection of Bulgarian authors and brands with high quality craftsmanship and special attitude toward design. The products showcase diverse design approaches, innovative selection of materials and production methods; and provoke aesthetical and ethical trends. In order to encourage multidisciplinary collaborations – some of the items displayed in the store are result of cooperation between artists from different areas of design.

The products are created especially for this year’s theme of the festival – Can I help you? and will be presented for the first time in the concept store. The selection includes works by favorite Bulgarian designers as well as brands working outside of the country: Armaveni Stoyanova, Atanas Levakov and Maya Karanesheva, Denitza Boyadzhieva, Ceramic House Erebus, Shipka, Bogdanin Brothers, Borislavawillmadeit, Serendipity, Odd Matter, Teddy Honey.

An important element is the venue of the store. It will reflect its temporary life and at the same time suggests an atmosphere similar to the one in an exhibition space. Organized with special attention to each product and its unique features, the store aims to help the audience reach Bulgarian design in an easier way and to reduce the distance between the designer and the client.
