The illustrators and designers of the project Co-mixer will share experiences and know-how in a workshop for comic page layout. It will include a short introduction in how to create a comic book story and how it can be arranged in a logical and attractive sequence of illustrations and text. The work will start with an explanation of what is the composition of comic book page and how it contributes to the telling of the story. Following the introductions, participants will solve a specific task, in which they will have to draw a comic on one page on a given story. At their disposal they will have numerous panels in different sizes and shapes from which they must choose several and arrange them on the sheet of paper. In this way they will decide the composition of the page and how to draw the comic.

Co-mixer is a publication for comic book stories by different authors and in five years it has managed to establish itself as a reference media on this topic in Bulgaria. Each issue is different and features various authors. The team behind the project is always open to new contributors and experiments in comic book form. “Our goal is for diversity of comic styles, so we provide freedom in artistic means of expression and interpretation of the theme” share the young artists.
