How can we live a little kinder? IKEA Democratic Design for Sustainable Living

The IKEA’s workshop How can we live a little kinder? is related to the sustainable life at home and will show how the design could help us to be closer to the nature.

Especially for the event in Plovdiv arrive three special guests of IKEA: Halina Ekberg – creative leader of ANVÄNDBAR limited collection and the designers Matt Falvey and Tazelaar Stevenson, who created together designs for ANVÄNDBAR.

Halina Ekberg is creative consultant and painter. Her mission is to create simple ideas, which helps us to acquire green habits in a fanny and easy way. “Stay hopeful, be creative, simple and down to earth.”, Halina appeals. She is creative leader of the IKEA’s project Better Me which evolves in the ANVÄNDBAR collection – 34 products created with the idea to be closer to our care of the nature.

Matt Falvey is British artist and designer and each aspect of his works is inspired by his love of the nature. Objects of curiosity collected while travelling the world form an endless source of inspiration in his studio in Norfolk.

Tazelaar Stevenson is a screen printer, designer and musician. Tazelaar’s own work is inexplicably linked with Nature and Music. Geometry and pattern underpin his practice. Matt and Tazelaar Stevenson’s creative partnership began in their teenage years at school. Combining different styles, techniques, and a dynamic working practice means together they continue to produce exciting work. They have collaborated on several projects including local exhibitions of their work and more recently on designs for IKEA’s ANVÄNDBAR collection, which clearly reflect their shared respect for nature.
