Discussion 11am-1pm – How to Raise a Small Designer?
Workshop 5pm-6.30pm – Mission: car designer
Tsvetelina and George Kamov used elements of design thinking to create a family game for children between 3 and 6 years old- Red Paper Plane. The game is gaining popularity among families in Bulgaria and abroad (in 69 countries), and is free to download in Bulgarian, English, Brazilian Portuguese and Polish (soon). Unlike other toys and games, the Red Paper Plane missions, as they are called, ensure repeatable play. The focus is on the process rather than the final result. The outcome differs based on the child’s age, skills and the choices he makes meaning that each time the game is played there is a unique outcome. During ONE DESIGN WEEK 2016 the Red Paper Plane team has organized a meeting with parents on the topic of how to raise young designers and why this approach is useful for children aged 3 to 6 and their families. Also during ONE DESIGN WEEK there will be a workshop consisting of 10 families which are currently working on the mission car designer, the results of which will later be available on Red Paper Plane’s website.
Registration in advance is required at tsveti@rpplane.com
The project is selected from the open call of ONE DESIGN WEEK 2016.
