During ONE DESIGN WEEK the Plovdiv-based designer Iliya Lambov presents his project – a footstep for a standard WC – an example for design that helps and changes. The product became a part of the exhibition Design that helps, an initiative of betahаus Sofia and ONE DESIGN WEEK. According to its author, the device prevents different diseases of the excretory system and the potential of the product has been recognized in a number of international design events in Belgrade, Ljubljana, Madrid, etc.

This invention is bent pipe in the orbit of the toilet bowl which is attached over the toilet under the seat and lid. The sliding mechanism in the shassies provides function to regulate the levels of the footstep, according to your personal needs and preferences. Using the footstep your legs are lifted up around the toilet orbit and you are squatting while you are sitting: Squatting posture makes defecation (bowel movement) faster, easier and more complete.
