The seminar “Occupation Designer” aims to introduce young people to the profession, debunk some popular myths and inspire those who want to pursue it. The event presents various types of design, from product and industrial design, web and graphic design to fashion. Each field is presented through the viewpoint of a specialist working in it, who will offer theoretical knowledge, but also practical advice from their daily experience as a designer as well as useful information about the necessary qualifications.

The event is organized by the Young Citizens United Association and is the second of a series of initiatives that aim to familiarize young people with different professions and help choose the right career path. YCU was created by the desire to help young people build on what they have learned and gain new practical skills, in order to achieve their academic or professional goals.

This initiative during ONE DESIGN WEEK 2016 is for anyone seeking a career in design. Speakers on the event are: Johannes Artinyan, co-founder of I-Creativ Studio; Stanislava Dimitrova and Antonia Raycheva – founders of Prototype 23 Fashion Creative Crew; the Bulgarian studio for graphic design Punkt;  the Polish designer Ola Mirecka.

The host of the seminar will be well-known Georgi Angelov, who participated in the second edition of “MasterChef”, Bulgaria.

The project is selected after the open call of ONE DESIGN WEEK 2016.
