Share your idea about the future of cities and win 10 000 EUR

Urban Futures Studio announced the start of the international Post-Fossil City contest, which is aimed at designers, architects and other creative thinkers and doers, who would like to envision the city in a post-fossil era. Anyone with a creative idea for the post-fossil city can enter the competition, professionals and students are encouraged to do so. Submissions of any shape or form are welcome, which includes illustrations, design, 3D models, video, audio, soundscapes, music, installations, interventions, prototypes, and so on, without any limitations given from the organizers. The proposal may describe either the city as a whole, or a particular aspect thereof.

After the submission deadline a jury, including MVRDV-founder Winy Maas, among others, will select the 10 best submissions, which will be presented on March 16 in Utrecht. Their authors will afterwards receive 1 000 EUR to further work out their plans. The finalized proposals will be exhibited during the Post-Fossil City exposition in Utrecht in June, 2017. From these 10, the jury will select a winner, who will be awarded 10 000 EUR,.
