This year from 20th of May till 5th of June our neighbours from Romania are organizing the 4th edition of Romanian Design Week.
Romanian Design Week, the biggest multidisciplinary event in Romania, dedicated to the creative industries, presented by The Institute, will take place from May 20th to June 5th. The fourth edition of Romanian Design Week will present Architecture, Product design, Fashion, Hybrid Design, Industrial Design and Graphic design’s best projects of the last year. The central exhibition will feature 150 Romanian designers.
This year, the host of the Main Exhibition is Piața Amzei, a new building, the result of a contest from 2006, organized in partnership with the Romanian Architects’ Order.
Besides the main exhibition, Romanian Design Week map will include connected events, hosted by design studios, design showrooms, creative hubs, boutique stores, art galleries, all united under the appreciation for great design. There will be 17 days of design activity hosted by 60 locations in Bucharest.
The main exhibition will expand this year with a new platform – Show Off – a space dedicated to creative brands who understand and promote design and artistic initiatives. This is a result of The Institute’ intention to seek and promote multidisciplinary projects that may represent examples of best practices for collaboration between designers and manufacturers or between professionals belonging to different areas.
